Vacuum Measurement and Control
Vacuum Measurement & Control
Our products use a variety of pressure measurement technologies to provide a broad selection of equipment including thermocouple, piezo and pirani sensors. Additionally, IES has a wide range of Teledyne Hastings products and accessories that further enhance our product lines and simplify ease of installation. With the assistance of our experienced application engineers, global sales network and vacuum measurement expertise, we will help you find a reliable, repeatable and durable solution for applications in both laboratory and industrial environments.
The main benefit of a Teledyne Hastings vacuum gauge is that it gives a clear indication of when you are at the desired vacuum level so you can proceed further into your application. The primary reason applications require vacuum is to create a change in properties (in vacuum) that are not typical at atmosphere. For example, in some instances you need to pull a vacuum to degas a system and remove impurities. Once you know that you are at an appropriate vacuum level then you can go ahead and proceed in a much cleaner process.

Applications Using Vacuum Measurement and Control
There are numerous applications for our vacuum gauges, across a variety of industries. Applications include but aren't limited to: clibrations, thin film deposition, cryogenic storage, HVAC charging, goof& beverage, semiconductor & photovoltaic processes. IES has decades of experience with many of these applications – let us help you! Our application notes are provided to explain how our products improve your vacuum measurement and process control.

Rough Vacuum Products
The gauges are calibrated for nitrogen or air, but conversion factors for other gases are available from the factory. The thermocouple gauge or controller does not require recalibration when thermocouple gauge tubes are replaced further decreasing process down time. However, our DB-16D reference tube is available to confirm meter/controller performance. Installation accessories are also available from the factory to support your installation needs. One less thing to worry about, when performance matters!
Medium Vacuum Products
The thermocouple vacuum gauge tube acts as a localized sensor which is then paired with a selection of meters or controllers to provide reliable, cost-effective measurements in diverse applications. The robust sensor gauge tube is easily installed into vacuum systems and when properly excited, generates a thermoelectric voltage to provide a vacuum pressure measurement based on gas density. The DV-6 thermocouple vacuum gauge tube fully compensates for temperature and rate of temperature change.
