Our History
Founded in Boston in 1947 as Industrial Equipment & Sales Corp., focusing on industrial vacuum products. We entered the thin film market in the early 1960’s to support the nascent semiconductor industry and military applications with a line of thermal and e-beam evaporators, plus the original stylus surface profiler. IES continued to expand and evolve our technical product offering to service the broad array of companies and research facilities in our region. Upon moving to our present facility in Danvers, MA in 1998, we changed our name to IES Technical Sales to reflect our expertise in selling high technology solutions. In 2021, Gallagher Fluid Seals, Inc. (King of Prussia, PA and East Longmeadow, MA) acquired IES Technical Sales, forming a new vacuum and semiconductor division.
