Hybrid Adapters
IES hybrid adapter fittings allow vacuum users to connect two dissimilar vacuum flanges or a vacuum flange to a fitting used in conjunction with vacuum process (Swagelok®, VCR®, NPT). To minimize the effect this transition fitting has on conductance, hybrid adapters are designed with the shortest length and with the largest inner diameter possible.
Please note that hybrid adapters are not used to change sizes within one flange family. Fittings used to connect two differently sized flanges from within the same vacuum flanges family are called reducer fittings.
Types of Adapter
Flange-To-Flange
Uses grease lubricated ball bearings for a pump that is small, lightweight, and low cost. The shock resistant design enables the turbo molecular pump to be mounted on moving equipment or moving parts. The product lineup offers models from 50 L/s to 2400 L/s.
Quick Disconnect Fitting
The use of magnetically suspended bearings allows for a completely oil-free exhaust, any orientation installation, and longer cycles between maintenance. The product lineup offers models from 300 L/s to 3400 L/s. Integrated controller/power supply. No interconnect cable/cable duct nor rack-mount needed. Causes less strain to system design. Continues our TG-M series heritage. Optimized compound rotor design offers unparalleled performances.
Swagelok®
Uses oil-lubricated ball bearings. Chemical-use models are available in every class from 200 L/s to 5500 L/s for use in applications for exhausting corrosive gases.
VCR® Fittings
Flanges and fittings in this category have been modified to include a female VCR® (metal gasket face seal) port. These components are ideal for adding vacuum accessories and instrumentation or process gas lines to your vacuum system. Standard families include CF, ISO-QF, and ULRIC.
NPT Fittings
Flanges and fittings in this category have been modified to include an NPT male threaded port. These components are ideal for adding vacuum accessories and instrumentation to your system. Standard families include ISO-QF (KF). NPT female components are ideal for adding vacuum accessories to your system such as thermocouple gauges, shutters, and valves.
Baseplate Fitting
Baseplate fittings are a convenient means to attach a vacuum measurement device, add a gas backfill line, mount metal or glass tubing, connect your bulkhead port to an ISO-QF or CF flange, or close an unused bulkhead port with a blank plug without welding or brazing to your system.

Ball Socket Fitting
Ball sockets are a specialized fitting used to deliver liquids to a vacuum process chamber. Standard flange families in this category are ISO-QF and ISO-LF.
