Gate Valves are one of the most commonly used valves in high and ultra high vacuum system.  These valves are used in most cases to open and close the vacuum chamber during the deposition process.  The body is constructed of 304 stainless steel and its bonnet can either by ordered in viton for high vacuum systems, and copper for ultra high vacuum.  A vacuum gate valve is required to have the function of isolating and sealing a vacuum and the atmosphere or vacuum spaces different in pressure for surface treatment of various substrates in vacuum equipment.
