Thick Wall Quick Disconnects find application when the body needs to be soldered to the vacuum system. Couplings facilitate the connection of a single (glass or metal) tube to the vacuum system, while unions are employed to join two (glass or metal) tubes together. Buna-N® or Viton® seals are utilized in Quick Disconnects. The Thick Wall Quick Disconnects are constructed with 304 Stainless Steel for the body, plug, and retaining ring, while the nut is made from 303 Stainless Steel.
